I’m dedicated to producing top-notch creative that brings brands to life.
I’m an art director. Well, I do a few other things but that pretty much sums it up best. I’m a photographer, filmmaker, web designer, musician and I’m also the creative director of an ad agency but really, in my mind, all of those things fall under the banner of art director. As the internet was coming of age, so was I and as I began to dabble in design I discovered a growing community of artists, engineers and designers online who were eager to explore new avenues of expression and more than happy to share their expertise with a rookie. The vibe in the web world at the time mirrored the do-it-yourself artists, bands and filmmakers I admired. All of these groups shared a desire to tell great stories and to create moving works of art. Whether it be a arresting image, a ground breaking website, a visceral piece of music or a mind blowing movie, one thing was clear in all of these endeavors: making stuff can move people. So that’s my thing: moving people, engaging people, inspiring people with art and design. Somehow that instinct turned into a job, actually it turned into many different jobs. Over the years I’ve worked as an educator, video editor, photographer and more. All that to say, I guess I just consider myself lucky to spend my days tackling design and marketing problems with creative solutions.
Design is so simple, that’s why it’s so complicated.
